Hey! Lingo is responsible for the processing of your user data. If you have any questions relating to this policy or our handling of user data, please contact us on [email protected]
We are determined to provide our services with a minimalistic approach to user data collection. As such, we only collect user data that is absolutely necessary for the application to work as intended.
Upon the creation of an account, your email address is stored on our servers, including your password which has been encrypted. If accessible, we also collect your IP address to determine your location.
We store data related to your progression within the app, which includes your studied words, flashcards and courses within all languages, as well as data pertaining to your choice of username and avatar.
In the event of an application crash, you are asked to submit a crash report. This data submission is voluntary and is limited to device information and a crash report log which includes your most recent actions within the app. No personal data is collected in this report.
In order for our application and its services to function properly, we are required to store certain data related to your account. This is used for keeping track of your progress within the app, allowing you to save your progress continuously throughout the use of the app. You may use the application without an account, at which point we collect no data from you, but are also unable to save your progress.
By using the Hey! Lingo application, you acknowledge and consent to that we may process your user data on servers in countries outside the EU/EEA in absence of an adequacy decision by the European Commission, meaning that relevant countries may not provide adequate safeguards for user data.
Your user data collected through our services will be deleted when they no longer serve one of the above-mentioned purposes, or until you have submitted a request for deletion of your data.
You can at any time contact us on [email protected] to get your user data deleted. Upon deletion, your user data will no longer be preserved and you will not be able to exercise the right to access, the right to erasure, the right to rectification or the right to data portability.
